Storrie Lake- Saturday and Sunday, June 14-15, 2008 --- The learn to windsurf days are open to anyone to attend and are designed for first time windsurfers to be able to give the sport a try, all the equipment you need is provided by the club. This event is put on by the club with the help of certified instructor NMWA members and requires a small charitable donation. Classes will be at Storrie Lake June 14th and 15th, start time 10:30am. The club organized swap meet will be on Saturday, June 21th, 2008 9:00am - 2:00pm, in the parking lot outside of FrameDesigns in Santa Fe. The address is 713 Don Deigo Ave, Santa Fe, NM, check-in is at 9:00am - gear pickup at 5:00pm, 15% sellers fee, contact Justin at (505) 412-1491 for more info. Everybody is welcome to come and sell their gear, there's plenty of great equipment available at reasonable prices. Everything from a beginner package to last years race sails, but get there early for the best deals.
In the spring and fall many members of the club head down to Bird Island or South Padre Island for an unofficial event. Corpus Christi has some of the best windsurfing in the USA and this is a fun trip to partake in, everyone is welcome.
